Eclectic Links to Others' Stuff
So out of date and omits so many people I shouldn't bother...
Eclectic Photographers
Jerry Lodriguss is a professional
photographer who does world-class astrophotos from New Jersey (I am not
kidding). Better, he offers lots of advice on how to do world class work
yourself. He also provides a rich set of links to the work of practicing
masters (like Wallis & Provin, Fletcher & Fletcher...) and to that
of earnest amateurs (like me).
Alabama's Bill Harris
was my first, best astrophoto coach when we both hung out on the CIS Astroforum.
His best advice to me, exemplified in his own work and practice, is: "every
single detail matters!" Get it all right, and you might get a good photo;
get any of it wrong, and you're certain not to. These days he's into bugs
and blossoms. And, of course, he's into them all the way.
Eclectic Philosophers
People I went to graduate school with (or, if you prefer,
people with whom I went to graduate school):
Clark Wolf,
Director of Bioethics at Iowa State -- that's no surprise. But who knew he was a shredder?
Juanita Simpson,Center for Environmental Ethics, Tucson.
Juanita's site has vanished the last time I looked, but I didn't look hard.
Tom Senor.
More to come...
