The Unitron Mount, Back in Service...
This is a sturdy 1970's vintage 3-inch Unitron equatorial mount
(model 142) bought used through The Starry Messenger
and modified to carry a variety of gear. It is shown here
carrying a Questar guidescope and a 300mm F4.5 telephoto.
(The orange out-of-focus beast in the background is Holston,
an 18 pound micro-cougar named for the river from which he
was rescued.)
