Stars of Baja Photographs by David Cortner ![]() ![]() ![]() The Southern Cross peeks above the Sierra Giganta as seen from Isla Danzante. A barndoor mount tracked the stars during this 30-second exposure with a 135mm F2.0 Nikkor lens. The image has been flat-fielded using Photoshop to even out the bright blue moonlit sky. The Milky Way rises above a glass-smooth sea as seen from Isla Carmen between moonset and sunrise. This is a 5 minute exposure with a 16mm Fisheye-Nikkor also tracked with a barndoor mount. Same, with major constellations sketched. From left to right: Sagittarius, Scorpius, Crux, and Corvus. |
