"The Sun is but a morning star."

What are we looking at here?
All drawings were made in Photoshop using a pressure-sensitive tablet.
The telescope is my do-everything 5-inch F6 Astro-Physics refractor carried
on a Losmandy G-11 mounting. I used a 2x TeleVue "Big Barlow" ahead of a Lumicon
1.5A filter, usually with a 12 or 16mm Nagler eyepiece. Those combinations are good
for 100-125x depending on spacing.
HEY!
IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER ABOUT HOW TO LOOK AT
THE SUN SAFELY, WITH OR WITHOUT A TELESCOPE, JUST DON'T LOOK
AT IT AT ALL, OK?
You're on the net already, so please GOOGLE a few
phrases like "safe solar filters" from companies like
Thousand Oaks, Baader, and (if you're flush) DayStar.
