Roots and Branches
(Poet's Monument, Dalmally)

shown framed 24x24

This Caledonian pine stands near the poet's monument, a tribute to Duncan Ban Macintyre (1724-1812) built on a hilltop near the meeting of Glen Lochy and Glen Orchy overlooking Loch Awe in western Argyll.

Before anyone asks, the Moon is real and I left it right where I found it. We tried to get here in time to watch the last evening light play across the wild north end of Loch Awe, but we arrived too late for that. This was the consolation prize.
