About the photograph:

The left, starry side of the photograph was tracked at the sidereal rate, the rate at which stars move across the sky. The right third, which includes the then-totally-eclipsed Moon, was tracked at the lunar rate.

I combined the two images digitally by aligning the centroids of field stars appearing in both. The photos were taken on Fuji Superia 100 color negative film. Each was a 2-minute exposure through a 200mm f2.0 Nikkor EDIF lens mounted on a Losmandy G-11 mount.
